Other Llamas

Kassia is aloof and dominant, but a secret sucker for lambs and shredded carrots. She does not wish to be touched, but she is an amazing guardian. We have had no issue with canine, mountain lion, bobcat, coyote, or any other sheep predator with her around! She will even go inspect a visiting neighbor! We have had Kassia since about 2006.

When we decided to expand out sheep flock into other pastures, we sought another guard llama. Thankfully, we found two! Jake is a lover of horses, a lover of chickens, a splasher of water buckets, an eater of neighbors’ shrubbery, and an escapee when we first purchased him. His poor previous owner had to chase him down on horseback! We are pleased to say, however, that he has always been well-behaved for us!
