Cria Male

Didn't see him coming!
 DOB: 10/4/2022  (3 yrs)
Huacaya | Cria Male | Unproven | Light Brown
Sire: SAWDUST'S ALMOND THUNDER
Dam: Estates Brazilian Agate

Surprise! My dad was shouting around 8:15 that there was a baby on the ground. Figured Dory gave birth three weeks early. Ran out there and Dory was doing her own thing. Maybe Ariel's pregnancy actually did take. But nope, she was walking away from the cria, too. So whose child was it? Agate! No one knew she was pregnant! So this is Jasper. He's 17 pounds and light brown. His aunt are all trying to hijack him. We have the sire narrowed down to two, and we're leaning toward Sawdust's Almond Thunder. More to come! His dam Agate has several "rock" and "brew" themes in her lineage. Turns out, there is actually a cappuccino jasper stone! Jasper has grown into a large presence and sassy disposition.

 DOB: 10/25/2022  (3 yrs)
Huacaya | Cria Male | Unproven | Dark Silver Grey
Sire: FRE Elixir's Flashback
Dam: 4-Sight's Finding Dory

Born between noon and 12:30 at 18 pounds, right on his due date. I saw the girls gathered near the bunk feeders and figured they were just grazing until I saw a little wiggle on the ground. Legacy is a luscious dark chocolate with silver strands. Great staple length for a newborn, and soft! His sire Flashback was a handsome male bred by my Aunt Lori in New Jersey. He was dense, crimpy to the toes, and had great presence. He made us laugh every day with his charm and antics, and he was alarmingly smart! Sadly, he was sickly this year, and despite several vet visits and tests, we couldn't figure out what was wrong in time. The necropsy revealed that he had eaten his own fleece to the point where one of his stomachs was impacted. He had no thinning or bald areas, no fleece on the ground, nothing. We were shocked. Thank God, Legacy was already baking. Dory is a very large, sweet female who loves to be touched and hugged. She is also a wonderful mother! Legacy was up and nursing quickly, cruising uphill as soon as he could. He rested his head on my shoulder while we took his temperature and he is content with us approaching and touching him.

Female

Gorgeous Lovebug!
AOA# 35095668  DOB: 6/16/2016  (10 yrs)
Huacaya | Female | Proven | True Black
Sire: LKR Total Eclipse
Dam: Heatherbrook's Masquerada

Dory is a stunning big girl with a heavy true black fleece, beautiful conformation, and a curious, affectionate personality! She stands out to ranch visitors because of her approachable, friendly nature and the spot of gray on her tail. Her dam is the matriarch of Heart & Soul and her half siblings include superstar 4-Sight's Applause and the knock-out 4-Sight's Stallone. Good thing Dory loves crias, because she has just been bred to a gorgeous guy! We are thrilled to anticipate the first Summer Hill cria. Both parents are so beautiful that any cria they produce will be amazing. We love our Dory! Dory's fleece won second place at the 2018 Nevada County Fair! Judge's remarks include: "Moderate crimp, very strong, nice staple length, nice hand, true black." *** On June 4th, 2019, Dory gave birth to a 21.4 pound true black male! *** *** On April 12th, 2021, Dory gave birth to a 21 pound light brown or rose grey female! *** She is an attentive, affectionate mother with plenty of milk for her boy who eats like a man! She also lets him have his independence. I am so proud of her.

She looks periwinkle!
AOA# 0036103850  DOB: 3/31/2021  (5 yrs)
Huacaya | Female | Proven | Light Silver Grey
Sire: Skyline's EZ Duzzit
Dam: A Paca Fun's Silver Geisha
Service Sire: Vintage Cashmere U-Taupe-ia

Weighing in at 16.2 pounds right on her due date is Summer Hill Silver Lining "Sylvie." Between 2 and 2:30, we noticed Geisha laying down and frequenting the poop pile. Cool, I thought. We'll probably have a baby in a day or two. About three, I hear my mom calling urgently for me. Turns out, Sylvie had arrived! Her dam is the striking A Paca Fun's Silver Geisha, who is an easy birther and great mother with perfect conformation and a beautiful head. She is also a daughter of the famous Silver Legend of KPR! Her sire is Skyline's EZ Duzzit, a grandson of the renowned Snowmass Enlightenment and relative of Peruvian Hemingway, 4Peruvian Legacy, and Crescent Moon's Kryptonite! EZ has had three other crias. His other daughter was purchased by a Belgian sheikh, and his sons are all stud worthy! Sylvie has a dense, very bright, soft lavender fleece with nice character. Her face has the fleece coverage we've been breeding for, and she has a nice, compact headstyle. She is a friendly little ham! We're excited to show her off! Wade Gease called her posh and said she was just outdone by the others in her class. Sylvie is a wonderful mother with plenty of milk!

Avatar daughter!
AOA# 35154129  DOB: 8/15/2014  (12 yrs)
Huacaya | Female | Proven | Light Rose Grey, Medium Rose Grey
Sire: Avatar!
Dam: ~Vina Fay Gray

When Delphi sold Tina to Macpaca, Linda Bat said that Tina had her heart and she would cry if she was sold. When Mapaca sold her to us, Ben McCallister emphasized how much they will miss her. We are so excited to bring her home and love her as well! Tina is fine and visibly bright with consistently frequent crimp! She also has a strong, proud presence. She is easy to catch and work with, as she does not have any camelid aloofness. She has a nice, strong bone structure and a confident disposition. On June 1 2023, she gave birth to a lovely light grey female from a descendent of MFI Peruvian Candyman. All four of her crias have been females! She is an attentive, affectionate mother.

Male

Gentle! Power-Packed Genes!
AOA# 32073966  DOB: 1/9/2012  (14 yrs)
Huacaya | Male | Unproven | Beige
Sire: Cannadar's Commander
Dam: American Pride's Maya

When I was picking out my first alpaca, I felt like God pointed Malibu out. When I first worked with him, I found out why. Despite being pastured for some time, he was the most mellow gentleman. He touched noses with me and allowed me to do anything I wanted with him. His broker was surprised he wasn't more wild. On the contrary, he has the most manners of any alpaca I have worked with! Malibu has a lovely fleece and an attractive head, solid bone, excellent conformation, and impressive genetics that include Peruvian Hemingway, Canadar, and K2! He stands out in his pen of beiges and whites, and that's no easy feat. Check out his histogram! Average micron count of 21 at the age of four is pretty awesome! And with a 20% CV, his soft fleece is consistent! It is absolutely therapeutic to take this boy out and just cuddle him. And if you want a good laugh, watch him do his happy dance as you spray him with a hose! He's not a famous herdsire that you'd hear about at every show, but he is the kind, attractive boy next door. We truly adore this boy. He has blessed us a lot! His low stud fee is because people have helped us a lot as we entered the alpaca world and helped us succeed. We want to bless your herd with a mini Malibu at an affordable price! Perfect for those of you just getting started, and those of you wanting to build a fiber herd. His fleece won first place in the 2018 Nevada County Fair at the age of six! Judge's comments include: "Really nice crimp, buttery, clean, good strength." The yarn this fleece made is incredibly soft and a beautiful beige. I actually hate to have to sell it, but it sells fast!

Great starter breeding!
Big Personality! Love Him!
AOA# 32073867  DOB: 6/10/2011  (15 yrs)
Huacaya | Male | Non-Breeder | Medium Brown
Sire: Crescent Moon's Krypton
Dam: Daria D420 AOA

Winnetou was a bottle baby who became an aggressive adult. He has charged and stomped people to the point that people entered his pen armed with a stick. But, despite the odds, he has really mellowed out. We first realized it when he cut his leg and needed it treated. He allowed people to wrap his leg and was given treats to cheer him up. It caught everyone's attention that he wasn't acting aggressively anymore. We can freely enter his pen and give him hugs and kisses and ear rubs. The worst he does is spit if you pet him too much without grain to offer! You may have noticed the entertaining facial expression Winnetou makes in his photos. They are often accompanied with cartoonish sound effects and the occasional antsy squirm. He cracks me up! Winnetou is reasonably well-behaved on a halter with his only flaw being crowding me for grain. He is, after all, a dude who loves food. Winnetou will remain a pen companion with his nephew Malibu (who definitely is dominant over him) and severalother males. His fleece, which is a gorgeous pumpkin spice, will be processed and sold. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer him as a stud. After all, he has gotten his temperament under control. The last thing he needs is surging hormones! He has beautiful pumpkin spice colored fiber. I love this boy and I am so thrilled to have him with us!

Already Striking! Great Personality!
AOA# 35145165  DOB: 6/4/2019  (7 yrs)
Huacaya | Male | Unproven | True Black
Sire: Crescent Moon's Krypton
Dam: 4-Sight's Finding Dory

Clark came on June 4th, 2019, at a little before 10 A.M. His mother Dory rested her chin on my shoulder as her contractions increased. He was 21.4 pounds and strong! When he decided to stand and walk, he did it. Then he nursed vigorously without much hesitation. Already, he has a soft handle, velvety sheen, and solid bone! He is acting much older than his age by displaying excellent strength and vigorous, active nursing. He is already independent and approachable! At a day old, he started exhibiting a striking presence. In a pen of very colorful crias, he stands out! At one week old, he started to exhibit tight crimp! His dam 4-Sight's Finding Dory is a tall, stout true black female with great conformation and a lovebug personality. She sheared 11 pounds of fleece is 2018! Her mother Heatherbooks Masquerada is the number one producer of champions at Heart & Soul Alpacas and Spinnery. His maternal uncles include 4-Sight's Applause and six-time champion 4-Sight's Stallone! Dory's sire is LKR Total Eclipse, who is a great producer himself! He is a rock-solid bay black male with a perfect bite and head-to-toe bright fleece! His AFD at the age of 5 was 22.56! He is the sire of Stallone as well as up-and-comer 4-Sight's Jazzy Night! This side of the family produces a lot of black and grays! His sire is Crescent Moon's Krypton, first-born son of Crescent Moon's Kryptonite, whose half-share sold for $175,000! Krypton's grandsire is 4Peruvian Legacy 6016, whose whose half-share sold for an amazing $750,000, making him the first million dollar alpaca! Krypton's maternal grandsire is another accoyo -- Peruvian Yupanqui 6018! Krypton himself is breath-taking! He will grab you attention and not let go. His fleece has a rich dark brown color, lengthy staple, and soft hand. His second year histogram at him at 20.9 microns, and he sheared 5.5 pounds from his blanket alone! This side of the family strongly produces black and browns and some fawns (and big personalities)! He comes up to me and touches my hand with his nose, much like his dam. He also enjoys running and roughhousing with his nursery-mates and discovering girls. We'll see how he does commercially as he grows, but I am so proud of this beautiful boy. We are over-the-moon in love with him and excited to see where he takes us!

Herdsire (Male)

Highly Expressive Harlequin Appaloosa!
AOA# 32132649  DOB: 8/28/2011  (15 yrs)
Huacaya | Herdsire (Male) | Proven | Medium Silver Grey | 5/8 Peruvian, 3/8 Chilean

Taupie is a striking appaloosa harlequin male that is on a roll for throwing spotted and harlequin offspring. He has sired 53 offspring and 74% are either appaloosa or harlequin! While dam selection has a significant influence on such outcomes, it should be noted that the majority of the dams Taupie has been bred to have no genetic influence on this outcome. So for those that don't have existing foundation girls with appy/harlequin lineage -- Taupie has proven to be capable of passing along his appy genetics and produce desired results. So how does this happen? Only part of that story is known, but what we DO know is that certain lines of known appy gene carriers are much more "expressive" than others. Taupie just happens to be one of those. His heritage boasts appaloosa genetics on both sides of his lineage with Aussie Rockford out of Hannahruh on his sire's side and Chiquita Import on his dam's side. In April 2016, Taupie's progeny debuted in the show ring taking a blue in walking fleece and the blue in halter at the California Classic. This was Enchanted Hill LuTau, who is a beautiful stud himself! This first boy was then followed by another appaloosa female and then another appy male-- both very similar to the first. The fourth cria, however, is something extra special! This little girl has expressed every color on the chart, not one pattern-- just speckles and spots from nose to toes-- Rare Gem U-Taupe-ia's Appletini! The unique coloring of this cria looks as though the color from Taupie's Grand Dam, Chiquita Import, is coming through and producing the rarest of rare gems-- her beautiful color seems to morph before your eyes! As much fun as it is to talk about Taupie's progeny... more about him! Taupie has a spotted face, spotted belly, spotted legs, and a beautiful solid platinum-taupe blanket. His top line is a nice medium silver grey, then blending into light silver grey down the sides. Other crias include: Appsolutely Adorable DVAF Fancy Pants Maverick Plumb Creek's Honey Dijon Rose Rare Gem in the SPOT Light Rare Gem Lady London Rare Gem Medicine Man Take a look at all of them!

Great Mom!
AOA# 35251743  DOB: 9/18/2016  (10 yrs)
Huacaya | Open (Female) | Proven | Light Brown
Sire: PATAGONIA'S ERNESTO - REFERENCE HERDSIRE
Dam: Saphire Symphony
Service Sire: Vintage Cashmere U-Taupe-ia

We are excited to acquire this girl who was purchased by Sawdust Alpacas at the Priority Sale in Las Vegas in 2017! Agate has astounding fineness with an average micron count of 19.1 at five years old! Only 2.7% of her fibers are above 30 microns. Her comfort factor remains at an impressive 97.3%! She has proven herself to be a great mother. She is reasonably assertive with her herdmates, scared of goats, loves water, and makes me laugh. We are excited to breed her to Vintage Cashmere U-Taupe-Ia to increase fleece weight and staple length and create an all-around amazing cria!
